About MIPAN

MIPAN is an acronym for Media Independent Practitioners  Association of Nigeria. It is an association of registered media independents operating in Nigeria. The association started in May 1999 with seven member companies.

In the beginning, a group of bright minds in the marketing communications field came together to form the association now known as Media independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN). The association was founded on the 12th of September 2001, at the Anthony area of Lagos State, Nigeria.
MIPAN was created to develop and improve advertising and marketing media services in Nigeria. This association aims to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, etiquette and discipline with a view to attaining a standard comparable to any in the world.
MIPAN is known to promote training and advancement of the knowledge and education of media independent practitioners on media advertising and marketing matters. As a body that likes to give back to its members, MIPAN promotes schemes for enhancement of the welfare and economic advancement of members of the association.
The association has diligently maintained high standards since inception and is willing to take the integrated marketing communication field to a greater height thereby working inclusively with all other sectoral bodies and the regulator in the industry for a brighter rewarding professional future.

MEDIA INDEPENDENT PRACTITIONERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (MIPAN)

The Media independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN), was founded in  May 1999, at the Anthony area of Lagos State, Nigeria, It is an association of registered media independent agencies operating in Nigeria.

With the rapid fragmentation and proliferation of the media channels, coupled with increased complexity of the media planning & buying informed by consumer sophistication, MIPAN was created to develop and improve advertising media profession in Nigeria. The association aims to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, etiquette and discipline in the industry with a view to attaining a standard comparable to any leading professional body in the world.

MIPAN is known to inspire, lead, promote, train and advance the knowledge of media independent practitioners in the field of advertising media and marketing communication. As a body that likes to give back to its members, MIPAN also promotes schemes for enhancement of the welfare and economic advancement of members of the association.

The association has diligently maintained high standards since inception and is willing to take the integrated marketing communication field to a greater height by also working inclusively with all other sectoral bodies and the regulator in the Nigerian marketing communications industry for a better & more rewarding professional future.

OUR OBJECTIVES & PURPOSE

To develop and improve the media advertising function in Nigeria by paying close attention to the discipline with a view to offering quantifiable value to the industry

To encourage the entrenchment of merit based reward systems in the media advertising function in order to ensure continuous improvement

To facilitate the development of an enabling environment for the media advertising industry in Nigeria.

MIPAN’s MISSION

Our mission is focused on moving the media industry forward and we duly recognize the need to work with other sectoral bodies in achieving these goals.
